Although the images contained in this collection are taken from recently published works, by publishers who have made great efforts to restore and reprint the comics from their original sources, their reproductions remain in the public domain in the United States. While the books from which the comics are scanned do include some new, copyrighted material in the form of essays and annotations, none of the new material is included in this collection.
